Starting a business on the side, while working a full time job is something I should have done a lot earlier in my career. All of us have so many ideas here and there, but it’s sometimes tricky to move to the execution, because there seems to be so much to do.

I’m starting a new blog that will hopefully make the first steps easier. I’ll describe the thought process and choices that I made and the things I learned along the way. I plan on sharing my mistakes as well, so that aspiring new business owners won’t have to repeat them.

  • Choice of State where to incorporate, the pros & cons
  • Opening that first business account
  • Establishing credit and getting the first business card
  • Benefits available to new small businesses from 3rd party providers
  • Building an online presence and marketing to customers
